The Golden Chariot train is a great luxury train.  Abroad the train, you would get to see the fantastic destinations in Karnataka. It is named after the Stone Chariot at Hampi. It would unravel before your eyes the fabled history of places like Hampi. It is a World Heritage site and various others like Belur and Halebid. The luxury train departs on every Monday from Bangalore and goes through Srirangapatnam, Mysore palace; Belur- the center of Hoysala architecture, the Nagarhole National Park( Kabini), Shravanabelagola, Halebid, Hampi and then the trinity of historical sites of Badami, Pattadakal and  Aihole.  Exploring the exquisitely pristine beaches of Goa would be an exciting experience.

The train is equipped with state of the art facilities and amenities. There are two restaurants abroad the Golden Chariot train. They serve delicious multi-cuisine food. The bar of the train is well-stocked where you can chill with a glass of your favorite wine. All the coaches of the train have been lavishly furnished. The Golden Chariot came into existence as a result of MOU between Karnataka State Tourism Development Tourism Corporation. It was flagged off on March 10, 2009 from the railway station of Yeshwanthpur. Ever since, it has traversed through countless journeys through the cradle of Stone architecture.
